What a Race!

It is amazing the difference a year can make. Last year, we place 5th overall and 2nd in our division. this year we rebuilt our team. We had no expectations, we just wanted to have FUN! And did we ever have fun.

We had 5 newbies to PTC, Jennifer Weekes, Christine Michie, Sarah Workman, Larry Haage and Michelle Emery. They brought both fun and energy to our team! It was great to have them all join us. John Ricker and Michelle Haage rejoined the team after a few years of R & R.

Unfortunately, Melissa Bosserman broke her toe a week before the race, we missed her. Charlene Jones, who was trying to not walk consented to help us out in our time of desparation. Thanks Charlie for being there for us!

Every person on the team walked their tails off to do the best they could. All of the rookies turned in amazing splits. Larry, the oldest member of the team at age 69, averaged 13:35 minutes per mile. He was a beast.

Because of each individual's effort we actually placed 4th in our division this year! All of us were elated to see that we finished so well.

Michelle & Larry Haage along with John Ricker were there to represent us at the award ceremony. they are posing with Robert Foote, founder of the Portland to Coast Relay.
